how to change master password

I just want to quickly highlight this note from the support article you linked as well:

If you’re using 1Password for Windows, you’ll need to finish changing your password in the app. Open and unlock 1Password using your old password, click the red authentication error banner, and sign in with your new password.

Are you using a membership, or are you using local vaults only?

If you are using a membership, you should be able to sign in to your account on 1Password.com / 1Password.ca / 1Password.eu. Maybe this article could help here?
