Is there a way (parameter) to start the app in the tray only, for auto startup.

    ./1password --silent

    And for anyone who comes upon this thread afterwards: if you want to see some common command-line options you can use in 1Password for Linux, pop open a terminal and enter 1password --help. It'll show you a few flags you can use to customize how 1Password operates.
