Crashing on a multi-user environment
Hi,
I'm using 1Password 8.6.0-61.NIGHTLY on a Mac running Catalina that has multiple user accounts.
It has always worked like a charm up to a few builds ago. Now, the app works fine from one user account, but systematically crashes when launched in the other one.
I can work around the issue: Quit it in the account where it works, copy it to the desktop and then back to /Applications (quick and dirty trick to get the permissions to change on the app) and it'll work in that account again. On the other hand… it'll stop working in the other account.
It looks like there is something off with the way the permissions are set and used in these recent builds.
1Password Version: 8.6.0-61.NIGHTLY
Extension Version: 2.2.3
OS Version: Not Provided

The Mac is running MacOS X 10.15.7.
I even tried to clear out all the 1Password related data on the Mac and that didn't make much of a difference. It really looks like a permissions issue.
I can send you logs, crash logs, etc, if you need them.Corentin

I don't think this is related to the other issue you had emailed in about, but I could be wrong. It does sound suspicious though. (The previous crashing trouble.) Let's get you back to the email side of things as we'll likely need to gather any logs. Please include a link to this topic.

It’s different indeed from the app crashing while trying to update.
Here, 1Password runs just fine in one user account, but systematically crashes in the other, until I reinstall the app itself in the other suer account (in which case it’ll start crashing systematically upon launch in the first one).I collected crash logs, etc. I’ll shoot you an e-mail.
