Generic avatar icon macOS beta?

I just installed the latest beta for macOS (the first of the betas I have installed) and I have a generic avatar icon that doesn't match the previous version or what I have on 1password.com. Is there a way to get them to match? Or is this a known issue?

  • Hi @rstewart,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm unsure how to investigate this one offhand, so I'll be circling up with some of our colleagues here to figure out what might be going on. I'll hope to have more for you soon - thanks for your patience!

  • Hello @rstewart, back again. 👋 We're wondering if this might have to do with the account avatar vs. the individual user avatar. Here's something you can try:

    1. Go to 1Password.com and log into your account.
    2. Click Settings in the right-side sidebar.

Is the account avatar the same avatar you see here?

I ask because 1Password 8 doesn't show the user avatar upon login, it shows the team or account avatar at the initial lock view screen.

I'll be interested to know what you find!

    That's where the disconnect was.

I had previously set the avatar showing for 1, above, but 2 was just a generic grey silhouette of a person. After I changed it, that image is now showing in the desktop app.

    Thanks for running that down.

  • Hey @rstewart:

On behalf of Peter, you're very welcome! 😃
