Thank you to 1password You can now download a .tar.gz file to install 1Password on ARM-based Linux distributions. this made my day!

Next step is to be small screen friendly, and 1Password will be usable on the Librem5.

I was able to run it, but the screen is too small for it to be usable.

  • Hey @mrdoodiddle

    🙌🏻

Admittedly 1Password for Linux is designed to be a desktop app, and small screens / cell phones were not part of the approach. I'll share with the team that this is something you're interested in, though. 🙂

    Thank you :D

In those days I use 1password on all of my computer devices, to me this includes cell phone since they hold soo many username/passwords for all of those crazy apps.

But still it is almost usable :D the mouse pointer using the screen is not registering clicks in alot of places, and some screens are too wide.

    Regardless this is nice stuff!

Thanks @mrdoodiddle. Your title made my day. I find it funny how getting to "almost work" can be a milestone 😊.

We built out the ARM tar with devices like Raspberry Pis in mind, I'm delighted to hear it's getting tried on other platforms.

Haha @James.Dressel_1P im a long time linux user, so something that almost works make me happy.

I recall those days when even USB support was bad in Linux

  • Thank you for your understanding and support, @mrdoodiddle - and we'll continue to improve everywhere we can!
