Hi there. Loving the all the work you guys are doing.
Sorry, perhaps I should split these up.... ?

1) Mouse Scroll
When first open Edit, the focus is in the Title field. As long as this is true, the mouse scroll doesn't work. So you have to click inside the larger area before scrolling down.
2) Item in window / mouse scroll
Also, when you open an item into its own window, the window starts off perhaps smaller than all the fields but you can't scroll in it. I had to enlarge the little dialog to see everything. Would also be cool if the window simply auto-sized a bit smarter :-)

3) Related Items
Add Related Item is not showing ALL things ??
I just created a Membership item and a Login item. The membership does not show the Login in the list and the Login does not seem to have a RelatedItems option. (Ahh. found it. have to scroll down in the little popup. but these stupid new scroll bars of late (a dark mode thing?) don't show at first so it was not obvious there was more). (however, from the login item, it only showed two options -- I have hundreds of items in 1P.... what the heck :-) )
This totally stinks :-(

4) Able to include Login info in other notes.
This brings up another long-time 'complaint' of mine. I truly do not like having Membership details (Warranty, Insurance, Accounts, Software License, etc....) and the login in separate items. I can see a use-case for being able to share them separately; but I don't need that (in most cases). I just want the username/pw fields inside of my membership note to work when I go to the website :-)
And that brings another long-time thought: I think it would be amazing to be able to convert from one template type to another.... AT LEAST be able to convert a Login item into a Membership/etc so I can easily fill in the remainder of the details.
In the meantime, I can add fields one-by-one to a login item. of course, it doesn't show up the same way in various places as a 'regular', say Membership, would...

5) Attachments
In a similar vane; (I believe I recall this correctly); I was annoyed when attachments got removed years ago in favor of "documents". It is super annoying to add like 5 'notes' just so i can have a picture of, say, the driver's license or passport pages (main item, front, back, etc) and then link them all up.... and the links break when moved to another folder/vault.
I see that we can add attachments again !!!! Yippee!!!! (sorry, I must have missed that sometime ago?)
So, now… (tying my comments in with the Document items)…… But it looks like auto-Preview is gone? I am just using Mac for the first time... On Windows, when I click a Document note with a picture, it just shows it (if it is under a certain size……? it seems inconsistent). Here on the Mac, I have to click Preview… and open a separate window. I definitely think a single-file picture document should just auto-preview inside the right pane.... but it would be KILLER if pic attachments would also auto-preview (perhaps a toolbar toggle if some folks don't like that). That way, if I am clicking around through several notes trying to find the right one, the pics are just there... and I don't have to click click click again.... :-)

6) I see that notes auto-save if I click away from it while editing. It's okay; but Is that intended ? and without a confirmation...

7) Mouse doesn't work when 1P is locked
Lastly, I've noticed a bunch of times, my mouse scroll and other such functions stop working. I found it strange that unlocking 1P restored the mouse behavior. I kind of figured that has something to do with Secure Input....
and I just read in the update today that it may be fixed...? Awesome !!

    +1 from me on attachment previews. It's driving me nuts that I have to download them in order to view them and then delete them manually afterwards.

    Hi @thomasoatman! Thanks for the extensive feedback, and for your compliments on the progress so far. We're certainly trying to outdo ourselves. 😃 And I'm happy to assist with what you've offered here.

    That's true. And thanks to your keen eye, I have filed an issue with our developers to see how this may be improved. Thank you!

    I'm sorry about this. I can see how that issue would have come up, but as far as I can tell it is possible from this modal window to search for any item you've got, and you should be able to link to it. Regarding the list itself, the items should display in alphabetical order, in the same way they do by default in 1Password's main view. But let me know if you see any discrepancies here and I'll be happy to look into this further.

    I can understand that. For a lot of people, login and membership items will be separate in kind, because they're used for different purposes, but if you want to link these because it's more useful to you that way, that makes sense.

    I think what's missing to make this an effective process in the way you suggest is the addition of a username field. If you have a username, password, and URL saved for a given item, 1Password should be able to fill it for you in a website. So I'll bring this up with our developers to see if that's a way we might roll this functionality into the membership item (or if perhaps some other approach might be better). Again, thank you for bringing this up!

    It's true! 🥳 Attachments are indeed a part of 1Password 8, and a welcome one from what we hear from folks.

    And regarding image preview for attachments: we have received previous requests for this, and as a result we have an open feature request with our developers about it. And I've just added your thoughts here to the conversation. 👍

    1. Note editing

    As far as I know, this is intentional to prevent accidental data loss. But I'll double-check to be sure as well!

    Yikes. That does indeed sound like it might be related to Secure Input - and we heard from some folks that this was fixed for them recently. If the issue does persist for you, though, do let us know. This is exactly the kind of thing we want to pursue in an effort to make your experience as seamless as possible.

    Wow Peter. Every time I see you guys replying, it is gracious, responsive, at not at all dismissive. So different from many companies these days.

    1. Related items list does not show everything.
      It all seems rather random. Sometimes it shows two or three, sometimes maybe 20, sometimes more; but never does it seem like the entire 1111. Typing in the Search doesn't find anything that is not in that modal list:

      1P definitely seems to treat Login items special (just like Credit Card items seem have their own special treatment). I did a quick test to verify my memory -- I created a new Membership and added a 'username' field and changed 'PIN' to 'password'.

    • Going to the site, only the original Login item is shown in the input field popup as well as the toolbar popdown.
    • In the Chrome extension popdown, I can find the new item.…… and 'Autofill' button works. But it does not offer 'Open and Fill'.
    • Login items make it easy to add more websites.
    • I think I have seen other differences in the past - don't recall. Obviously things like offering to Update the login info and likely keeping the password history in the notes
      Anyway, I presume this may bend some rules and not worth the effort.
    1. Mouse
      I did have my Logitech MX mouse stop working again yesterday. I mean, it moves and I can use the original left/right clicks; but the scroll wheel and all other buttons go dead until I unlock 1P again. I am not sure yet the exact sequence leading up to this. (for instance, I just had the screensaver come on and locked 1P, but the mouse is okay) I will try to pay better attention to determine the cause better.
