Can I set a password to open the 1password app on my desktop?

I have the 1Password app on my desktop. It opens with having to type in a password. My IT consultant and accountant have access to my computer - sometimes when I am not there - and I do not wan them to be able to access my passwords. Where is the, or is there a, setting so that I have to enter a password to open the app? I have to enter a password to use 1Password in a browser, but not one to open the app.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

The first sentence should say that it opens WITHOUT having to type in a password. I would like to have to enter a password to get the application to open. Thanks

Hi @JBski, thanks for reaching out!

Just to confirm, are you using 1Password 7? If so, it looks like you'll need to disable Windows Hello in 1Password so that you're asked for your password only. This will disable any other log in options such as facial/fingerprint recognition or using the device's PIN. To disable it in 1Password 7, you'll need to open the security settings (1Password menu -> Settings -> Security) and toggle off the option to Allow Windows Hello to unlock 1Password:
