1password 8 ?

Hi

Ive not been on these forums or looking at news for ages as 1p7 has been fine, I now see mention of 1p8 and i'm wondering if its actually released for mac or still in beta, as I have not had anything to prompt me to update on my mac.

If Ii is officially released why have I not been prompted to update, or is it an optional thing?

Can anyone advise on how I go about getting 1p8 for my iMac,

I also have other device like iPad and iPhone 12pro but assume its not out on them yet?

Unless I'm being stupid and its actually not released yet.

I'm having trouble following the steps in this page. For example, I don't have a "Developer" option in 1Password > Preferences. Is this only available for v8 which is in "early access"?
