Safari launches when I launch Safari Technology Preview + 1Password

As the subject says, since I upgraded to the most recent version of 1Password for Safari (2.3.1 as of this post), launching the Safari Technology Preview also launches Safari. If I disable the extension Safari doesn't launch.

Actually, just noticed if I enable 1Password when STP is running it automatically launches Safari. So something definitely has regressed with this version.

Hey @neilio! Thanks for reaching out about this. I've seen a couple of similar issues and would like to dig in deeper. Could you let me know if Safari is your system's default browser? If you unlock the 1Password app, and then open the extension in Safari Technology Preview, does it still launch Safari?

I use Choosy as my default browser. 1P locked or unlocked doesn't seem to matter – it almost seems random.

Hey @neilio,

We're aware of issues like the one you've described above that can arise when using 1Password in your Browser from Safari and Safari Tech Preview on the same machine. These issues are being tracked internally and I've added your report in this thread to the dialogue 😄. In the meantime, our recommendations are as follows:

• Use the 1Password extension only in stable Safari
• Alternatively, turn off "Integrate with the 1Password app" from the 1Password extension's settings in STP
• Unlock the 1Password desktop app before opening STP.
