Feature regression: Generate Password from Quick Access

One feature I'm missing from 1Password 7 is the ability to generate passwords quickly from Quick Access.

In my workflow, these are temporary passwords that are changed almost immediately by the user and not saved to any vault. Before, the workflow was:

Command+Option+\, Command+N -> Change generation rules if necessary, then Command+C

Now, it is:

Open 1Password, unlocking if necessary
New Item
Select Item type
Click password field
Click generate
Adjust rules if necessary
Copy password.

1Password Version: 8.7.0

OS Version: macOS 12.3

It is a feature I used a lot as well. Now I need to open up 1password, edit an existing item to generate a password I can use. It now is cumbersome, while with 1password 7 it was wicked fast

I also miss being able to generate a password from the quick access. Please put it back.

  • Your vote has now been added, @hsmoliar. Thanks for the input!
