Can't Log in After Upgrade to Version 8

I just upgraded to version 8 on my work windows 10 machine. After the upgrade, I am unable to log in. I know the credentials I am using are correct as they still work to access the website directly in Chrome as well as to log in on my mobile devices.

On Windows, I get the message "We weren't able to sign in to your account."

The upgrade was run as a non-administrative user (I don't have admin access on this machine).

Any and all help would be welcome.

I believe I know the cause. At home, not connected to VPN, it works fine. So something on the corporate network is blocking sign-in from 1Password 8 that wasn't blocked on 7.

    Is 1Passord 8 using a non-standard port (or a different port that version 7)?

  • Hey @Clavius, thanks for reaching out to us. You can find a list of 1Password ports and domains here.

With that said, we've improved our network stack to support custom corporate network setups with various security protections, and these changes are available in the latest version of 1Password 8. However, it seems as if those changes did not resolve things for your current setup. As such, we will need to investigate further to work out why this could be.

Could you send us an email addressed to support+windows@1Password.com and include:

Once we get your email, we'll provide you with some steps to get logs from your system that will help our team investigate the issue. Thanks!
