Asking for my brother who just installed 1Password on his mac and iPhone. He has the app installed and mini running from the menu bar, but it isn't in Safari. He went into Safari and found where to add it, but it is taking him to the Apple store. is that the way the extension is installed?

  • Hello @ajahn! 👋

If your brother has already installed 1Password 7 for Mac then the app comes with a built-in extension for Safari. Follow these steps to enable the extension:

    1. Open Safari on your Mac.
    2. Click the Safari menu next to the  in the menu bar and choose Preferences.
    3. Click the Extensions tab and make sure 1Password is turned on.

Let me know if that helps. 😊

Yeah, he needed to drag the 1P icon to the toolbar. Working now. Thanks.

I'm happy to hear that everything is working now. 😊
