I've observed this in versions 81112020 (Nightly), as well as the corresponding beta and release builds. After installing the Tahoe RC1 (26.0/25A353), I've found that Touch ID has become a bit quirky. Under Preferences → Security, altering the Touch ID and Apple Watch settings, I've seen the following, when trying to unlock 1Password (or access ssh keys, etc.): Touch ID On Touch ID off Apple Watch On One of two things happen: Touch ID prompt appears on top of the Apple Watch prompt. Using Touch ID dismisses the Touch ID prompt, but does not unlock 1Password until the Apple Watch prompt is dismissed by approving from the Apple Watch. Dismissing the Apple Watch prompt by pressing escape requires that I use my account password to unlock. If I unlock using my password with just Touch ID enabled, I can then enable Apple Watch, and unlocking works as expected. Works as expected. Apple Watch Off Prompted for my account password with the message, "Touch ID sensor is currently unavailable. You need to sign in using your account password." After that, I can lock and unlock using Touch ID. Works as expected.3Views0likes0CommentsmacOS 15 1Password not an option for system AutoFill
I was trying to create a Passkey in Safari for https://passkeys.directory/details/synology, and when it attempted to make a passkey, it only allowed me to use the built in macOS Passwords app, but I would prefer to use 1Password for this. However, in Settings -> AutoFill & Passwords, 1Password does not appear as an option for autofill. Therefore, when creating the Passkey, I was only able to do so by saving it into the Passwords app. This is not acceptable, however, since to use the passkey saved in Passwords, I need to have it's autofill enabled, which then overlays above 1Password's autofill. I wonder what the workaround for this is. I do have 1Password enabled for Universal Autofill. This doesn't occur for all websites. For many others, 1Password (Safari Extension) pops up to receive the Passkey as expected. But in this case it didn't work, and the root cause seems to be 1Password's absence from the AutoFill & Passwords Settings pane. 1Password Version: 8.10.48 Extension Version: 8.10.46.34 OS Version: macOS 15.0.1 Browser: Safari1.9KViews2likes15CommentsOpening Safari Changes Applications and Switches to 1Password
Opening Safari doesn't remain very long on Safari before it switches applications to 1Password. While in Safari I begin to type the URL/URI of the web address I want to go to, but I don't get beyond the first four characters before I'm automatically in 1Password and the typing all continues there in a 1Password search while leaving the URL bar in Safari incomplete. The actions to reproduce this are to have 1Password open and Safari is not open, to then open Safari from the desktop (while it's not yet open) and then use cmd+L to take me to the URL bar and I begin typing. After about four characters I'm no longer in Safari where I started typing, but rather I'm in 1Password and the typing resumes there. Whatever happens in the background, does it need to change applications away from the Safari browser that I had just intentionally opened? 1Password Version: 8.10.58 Extension Version: 8.10.56.28 OS Version: 15.1.1 Browser: 18.1.1Solved130Views0likes9CommentsSupport for Zen browser

I've found that 1Password's universal autofill functionality (the Command+\ shortcut) is no longer working on Brave on Mac. Versions are macOS 15.6.1, 1Password 8.11.8, and Brave 1.82.166. This is on an M1 MB Pro. Universal autofill works in Safari, and the 1Password extension drop-down prompts still work in both Safari and Brave. When I try to open the app, I am prompted to enter my password. Upon entering my password successfully, the app opens, signaling I am successfully in, but the window is completely blank. There is no viewable or manipulatable content/interface. I can access all my content through the website and the plug-in continues to function when I am logging in to accounts on other websites. I have deleted the app and re-downloaded. I have updated my computer's system. I have restarted the computer several times. Please advise!40Views1like5CommentsLocked out of account. Recovery doesn't work. No answer from support.
Individual 1P user here. Changed my account password last night and was immediately kicked out of all logged in sessions on web, iPhone, Mac. Stupidly did not record my new password prior to changing it and it wasn't saved to my MacOS clipboard either. Going through the recovery process and it seems I'm just blocked or locked out. I have my Emergency Kit (sans new password) and I have my recovery code. When I entered my recovery code for the first time I got this message: "Login occurred too recently." I waited a bit and tried again and got: "Recent attempt was cancelled." So, I sent an email to 1P support. Haven't heard back and that was nearly 12 hours ago. Just tried to use my recovery key again and still get "Recent attempt was cancelled." Having PAID for a product I need to use but which I am now locked out of with seemingly no way to use the recovery methods has me beyond frustrated. I know I'm stupid for not recording the new password before I changed it (it was 100 characters long) but, come on—this is why recovery methods exist! And the fact that even that isn't working, well, I'm an unhappy customer.Solved52Views1like5CommentsPasskey on Safari results in error "PublicKeyCredential" after upgrade to Mac OS 15.4
Hi all, after upgrading to Sequoia 15.4, authentication using Passkey (which is required by my employer) ends with error message "TypeError: Can only call PublicKeyCredential.toJSON on instances of PublicKeyCredential" on Safari. It was working before the upgrade without any problem. I didn't change anything except system upgrade. On Firefox it's stil working correctly as before (and Chrome didn't work neither before). Is anybody facing the same problem? Is it problem of Safari 1Password extension?824Views0likes45Comments
