Link Existing not finding newly added document

I took a picture of a receipt on my phone. Added it as a new Document to 1Password on my iPhone. Went to my Mac and opened an existing "Secure Note". In Edit mode I clicked on "Link Existing". It did not find the document to link to. What am I doing wrong?

Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: macOS 12.3

    Hello ajahn! 👋

    I'm happy to hear that you were able to solve the mystery! 😊 You're right, you can only link items that are stored in the same vault. This is due to the cryptographic design of 1Password where each vault is encrypted separately so that access is only available to the right users.

    My dumb mistake! I figured out the problem. The new document was added to my private vault, but the secure note was in a shared vault. I just moved the document (picture of a receipt for new tires) to the shared vault, then I was able to link it to the secure note (info about my son's car).
