Please Add Word Wrap or Ability to Add [Return] to All Fields

For some reason, info I had stored in one of my Notes fields got changed to a field called "field". Well, in this "field" the info does not Word Wrap and it's impossible to enter [RETURN] to go to a new line so I basically have to maximize the app to see all my notes or the Zoom Out which makes everything tiny on my 8K monitor. Can this please be addressed? Long time user. Love the app otherwise and use it multiple times a day.

You may be able to click and edit where it says “field” to re-type the correct “notes” type.

I’ve been meaning to ask how the field names and field types (when created) interact. It seems like both are relevant in different ways.

The only problem is that I think at some point the field used to be called "comments" and then something got changed to "notes" but not everything got moved around. I already have a "notes" field in addition to "field" and I'm not sure it's going to allow two of the same named fields in each instance. Thank you for trying to help though, truly.

  • Hey @PWizard:

Great question! We've recently changed text fields to be multiple lines, but the change only applies to newly created text fields in an item. If you create a new text field, are you able to press return or enter to add a new line?

    Let me know!

I can on the Notes field, but I cannot reproduce a field called "field" where I can type into. Is there anything that can be done about all my existing data? I have over 500 entries.

  • Hey @PWizard:

Thanks for following up. The "Text" field type is the field that allows multiple lines:

With that said though, the change we've made isn't applied to existing text fields. Any text fields created prior to our change of this behavior will continue to be a single line, without the ability to insert multiple lines.
