Quick Access not working with German Bank account
Hi all,
when I open Quick Access to copy my bank account details (IBAN), it only offers to copy routing number and account number. Both actions do nothing, only "copy swift" works. The bank account item does not contain routing or account number, like in the US
Seems like a bug to me

Hey there @Manaburner, thanks so much for bringing this to our attention! Currently, Quick Access is designed to surface a set of pre-defined fields from each item category. We originally chose this to set a predictable set of actions for the keyboard shortcuts - for example, a user could expect that when they open a Login entry, they could expect that
Str+C
would always copy the username, and so forth. That said, I can definitely see how this behavior can be unhelpful in situations where the default fields are not filled with data in the entry itself, such as the situation you raised. I have filed an internal issue for the team to look into and see how we can make this behavior better.
In the meantime, one option would be to use the keyboard shortcut to open the entry in a new window - for US layout keyboards this shortcut is
Ctrl+O
, but it might differ slightly for the German layout. This will list all the entry's fields so they can be quickly copied. 😊0 -
Hi @Dayton_ag
Thanks for filing the issue and for the hint. And yes, Ctrl+O does work here too :)0 -
Not a problem, happy to help! 😄 I personally think this would be an awesome change to introduce - maybe even allowing us to "promote" a specific field from the entry into the main Quick Access window for easy access. Thanks again for sharing this feedback, it's super helpful!
