1Password beta (Mac) and the location of the previously open 1Password window

If I quit 1Password and reopen it, the application respects the size and location of the last open window. However, on a reboot, the 1Password window opens in the middle of my screen. Not sure if this is a bug but it would be nice if the window would open in the location/size I had last left it in before the reboot. I believe 1Password 7 would always open up where it was last used, even on a restart.

  • Hi @canecaster, thank you for raising this issue.

We're going to have a look into this on our end. In the meantime, we've heard from some other folks who have been affected by this issue that uninstalling 1Password 8 for Mac and then reinstalling the app resolved the problem. If you're willing to give it a shot, I'd suggest that as the first troubleshooting step - and I'll look forward to hearing from you on how it goes!

Hi Peter, and thanks for that suggestion. I see the same behavior even after I moved the application to the trash, re-downloaded and re-installed. The previous window position is still only remembered until I shut the computer down. After that, 1Password starts up in the middle of the desktop.

  • Thanks for the report, @canecaster, and I'm sorry for the delay here. I've passed this on to the team for review.
