snativemessage host issue on mac

My wife's macbook is running 1Password and slowed to a crawl.I opened activity monitor and found dozens of instances of a process called snativemssagehost (or something close to that) running, all starting about 4-6 hours ago. We're rebooting it now but what would cause this and how can we avoid it in the future? Thanks.

    Our developers have released an update that should resolve the 1PasswordSLSNativeMessgeHost issue that your wife is experiencing. Can you update to the latest version of the 1Password for Mac app (Version 7.9.4) to see if that helps?
