Is there a way to control when a family member can get emergency access?

I would like to have some control over when a specific family member can gain access to certain websites, usernames and passwords in emergencies.

Is this possible with 1Password?

  • Hi @jkpalmer52:

Great question. There isn't currently any method of doing this within 1Password. Depending on the situation that you're planning for, storing a copy of your Emergency Kit with your account password in a safe place that they would only be able to access during an emergency would be your best bet. I'm happy to dig into it further with you if you'd like. 😀

Since I am not a current 1Password subscriber, I would appreciate a little more information, if you could find more.

Not familiar with the "Emergency Kit" that you mentioned - perhaps we could start there?

  • Hey @jkpalmer52:

Of course! Every 1Password account has an Emergency Kit. In short, this contains everything you'll need to add your 1Password account to the 1Password app on a new device.
