Hi,

currently testing 1pass as an alternative for our company. All good so far, however one thing comes up frequently that our users can't seem to solve. 1pass will frequently time out and ask for the master password again, since most of the people here work in clamshell mode, it's becoming quite a pita to re-enter the password. We have set the timeout to 999, but apparently it get's set pre default to 300 minutes.

But even with that kind of setting frequent timeouts do happen up to two, three times per hour.

We're running macOS Monterey 12.3.1 on most recent, all same configured M1 Pro 14" devices using the firefox extension.

Is there any way to disable timeout in clamshell mode and have it enabled per default when the lid is opened up? I could not find any setting or possibility to push this using our mdm.

I'd like to start by understanding a bit more about what you're experiencing:

    • Where exact steps are you taking to set the lock timer on your workstations?
    • Do your workstations have 1Password for Mac installed?

Whatever detail you can provide, around those questions or beyond them, will help us understand the nature of the issue you're seeing.
