1Password Autofill conflicts with Keyboard Maestro window resizing

I use Keyboard Maestro to automate window resizing and placement. After invoking 1Password autofill the move and resize behavior changes and becomes animated.

If I quit and relaunch the application (In my demo this app is Google Chrome) everything goes back to normal. Once I invoke autofill the odd behavior returns.

Here is a video demonstrating the problem:

I figure this isn't something easily fixed but wanted to bring up the issue anyway.

Otherwise I have been loving v8!
Great work and thanks!

    Hi @spencersteers!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and let us know about this odd behavior (and for including a helpful video demonstration!). We've seen at least one other report of it so far and I think I may know what the cause is. I'm filing an issue internally so we can make sure this gets addressed 😄.

I'm super glad to hear you've been enjoying 1Password 8 otherwise! Please do let us know if you run into anything else and have a great day 🙂.

I was able to reproduce it in an applescript - hopefully this is more helpful.

Just want to report that I am experiencing the same problem but with Safari.

Kudos to @spencersteers for identifying the culprit… I assumed it was a Keyboard Maestro problem but am now realizing I started experience the problem after upgrading from 1Password 7 to 1Password 8.

I can replicate the exact same behavior. Quitting Safari and relaunching fixes it until using 1Password autofill.

  • Hi @johnnyj:

Thanks for reporting this. We're continuing to take a look at this, so please keep an eye out for improvements to this situation.
