1 password should work offline when servers are under maintenance

I tried to save a new login using browser extension. And a message returns "unable to save item"

When I use the extension to create a new login it opens a page saying that the site is under maintenance.

And the problem is the database server that is under maintenance.

I will not discuss the fact that you should be using dynamodb instead of RDS to save users saved items, or if you really want to use rds, you should redirect your customers to another region before start the maintenance.

My point is, the browser extension should save changes and new items locally, when your servers are up again they can send a notification to start sync and everyone is happy.
Right now I must create the login, using a "simple" password, or writing down in paper or in some .txt file. Throwing security in garbage and making 1password useless.

Thanks for reaching out! I apologize for the circumstances you found yourself in with the servers being down, and for the disruption to your workflow here. You're absolutely right, you should be able to still save and edit items on your local machine. To confirm, did this happen on May 4th, when you sent this message? Were you able to sign into 1password.com outside of the browser extension during this time?
