1Password Linux Beta

The URL https://releases.1password.com/linux/beta/ shows that the latest version of 1Password for Linux Beta is 8.8.0-11. I downloaded and installed the rpm file from https://downloads.1password.com/linux/rpm/beta/x86_64/1password-latest.rpm and installed it, but the version displayed is 80700095 (8.7.0-95). Is there a plan to update the rpm file to the latest version?

Hello @FbobbioC and ragectl, thank you for raising this issue (and FBobbioC with a workaround).

We have gotten some reports of issues updating to this version, so I have passed these details on to the development team so they can look into it. Again, we appreciate you letting us know that you encountered it!

    ragectl, I found a workaround/solution:
    1) Download the .tar.gz from https://downloads.1password.com/linux/tar/beta/x86_64/1password-latest.tar.gz
    2) Untar the contents and cd into the directory
    3) Close 1password completely
    4) sudo cp -R * /opt/1Password/
    5) Run 1password --version from a terminal and you will see "8.8.0-11.BETA"

I was wondering the same thing.

Neither of my Linux or Windows (set to beta channel) installs have updated to the version mentioned in the beta release notes for 8.8.0-11
