How to have 1Password save a login and autofill details from webpage?

Okay, I'm stumped how this new 1Password 8 is completely killing my workflow. 1Password 7 worked like a charm.

I am trying to save a new login. In fact, it's the login to this forum. When I click on the 1Password icon in the Safari toolbar, I can click the "New Item" button. Great! But it doesn't autofill the details such as login name, URL, username and password. 1Password 7 did this every single time.

Surely I'm missing something?

    Great question! To use 1Password in Safari to save a new Login item, first use the inline menu to fill your email address:

    Then use the inline menu to generate and fill a password:

    I see! I had the autofill settings disabled in the Safari extension settings. It works as you suggested now.

    I guess I was so used to doing it manually in 1Password 7. Thanks for the help :)
