1 Password Agent..

I am a long-time 1Password user/subscriber and recently picked up an M1 Macbook Air.

Since I did a restore from my old Mac, I got all the stuff associated with it. One of those things that are running is the 1Password Agent 3.8.21 which, shows it was last modified in 2013.

Since this (and my 1Password 4 ~/Library/Application Support/ files are so old, do I need to keep those around anymore?

  • Hello @joelfrederick! 👋

You can certainly remove 1PasswordAgent.app which is a remnant of a previous version of 1Password and can sometimes cause issues if it's left hanging around.

These are likely files for 1Password 6 or earlier which are stored in the following location: ~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4/. I personally would leave them alone since they contain a backup of your data from before you migrated to 1Password 7 and they won't cause any issues by resting where they are.

    I hope that helps. 😊
