"Show autofill menu on focus"-setting disobeyed
Hi,
I had to upgrade 1Password 6 to a subscription model, and I must say, UI/UX wise, if feels a big step backwards. Probably it is due to habit, but especially 1 thing is just driving me crazy.
I especcially hate it when some things pop out of fields automatically. There are always cases where it is guessing wrong. If it then also just breaks the usability of the site (see image, i cannot click the dropdown underneath) my mind just explodes :)
I thought I found a setting just for me, but 'Show autofill menu on field focus' just doesn't do anything.
What I actually want is just a that nothing pops up ever, and i need to press a key combination to autofill in case of only 1 result, and a dropdown in case of multiple results.
Please say this option exists :)
Thanks a lot!

Hey @avatarbe, are you seeing 1Password's inline menu showing up in fields where it's not supposed to? If so, please let us know the URL to the form and I can report it to our developers.
In the meantime, you can turn off the inline menu from the extension by doing the following:
- Right-click the extension's icon on the top right corner of the browser and select Settings.
- Go to Autofill and disable both options there.
With both of those options disabled, the 1Password icon and inline menu would not display in any of your fields. To fill, you would have to click on the extension icon in your browser, locate your login, and then click Autofill.
Using a shortcut to fill would be a bit tricky. If there's just one login on the page and your browser extension is integrated with the app, then you can use the Fill Login or Show 1Password shortcut from 1Password > Preferences > General to fill (by default that is CMD+). However, if you have multiple logins on a page, that shortcut will not work (the shortcut depends on the inline menu to present multiple logins).
I did notice that you have 1Password 7. If you upgrade to 1Password 8 on Mac, you can actually remove the extension and just use Quick Access to do your filling. The only downside is that Quick Access doesn't have access to web API's and it is not built into your browser directly, so it might not be as accurate or powerful as the extension at times. It's still a great tool and worth checking out.
