In case it's helpful for the short term:
You can find your previous passwords associated with an item in 1Password 8 for Linux by selecting the relevant item, then the downward-pointing arrow in the password field, then View Password History.
You can find a full item history for your items at 1Password.com, by selecting an item and then View Item History.
