Opening multiple logins at once

Previous to 1Password 8 I would be able to highlight multiple items in a tag or category and double click (or right click) to open all of the highlighted items at once inside of my browser. I can't seem to do that in version 8; when I try to open multiple items at once my browser does not open anything but instead a new miniature 1Password window pops up, and only for 1 of the highlighted items. (The window that opens is for the item my mouse happened to be hovering over when I double clicked and contains the rest of the information pertaining to that specific item.)

With the new version is there a way to open multiple logins at once? Or is that a feature that has been done away with?

1Password Version: 8.7.0
Extension Version: 2.3.3
OS Version: MacOS 12.3.1

  • Hey @cap296:

At the moment there isn't a way to open up multiple items in the browser like you could in 1Password 7. Would you mind sharing a bit more about this use case, so I can share it with the team as a feature request?

Sure -- instead of keeping a set of start pages in my browser, I prefer to keep a few sets of "start pages" in 1Password. I group them by tags; depending on the work for the day/session I will simply select-all in a tag and be able to open all log-in pages with a double click into my browser. Saves from having to sift through bookmarks or from individually clicking log-in items in 1Password. It's a bit of a hassle to go item by item, find the log-in URL, and then one by one open separate webpages.

Thank you for sharing your use case, I myself haven't used 1Password in that way but I can certainly see how it would be useful to do so. I've filed a feature request with our developers so that they're aware that this is something that you'd like to see added to 1Password 8. 😊
