Shortcut issues on different Macs

Hi all,
I'm facing some issues with 1Password V7 & V8...

I accidentally deleted my long-used shortcut within 1Password (newest Versions of 7 & 8 on different Macs) and I cannot using again: command + # (which is left from the enter-key on my German QWERTZ keyboard)

On one Mac its at least possible to use option-key + # as an equivalent but on the other one I'm facing the "shortcut is in use"-window even though there should be none associated with it (and if so, I deactivated them in the keyboard settings in macOS settings)... both Macs run on the latest OS.

If you need further derails, I am more than happy to help. The other topics in the forum didn't cover this specific shortcut, if this have already been discussed, I'm sorry for opening another question. :)

Thanks & Best!

  • Hi @ksntntnb:

Thanks for asking! Is the device where you're running into "Shortcut in use" running 1Password 7, or 1Password 8? Let me know, and I can dig in further with you!

    Hi @Jack.P_1P,
    thank you for your response.

The "shortcut in use"-event was with 1Password 7.
Besides that, is it a 1Password or Mac thing, that I'm no longer able to use command + # as my shortcut, which I used years (I think it was the default shortcut in previous versions)?

  • Hi @ksntntnb:

We're actively investigating an issue with non-US keyboard layouts, so please keep an eye out for updates.

    Hi @Jack.P_1P ,
it's been a while and while I had to reinstall 1P8, the shortcut "cmd+#" on a non-US keyboard (in particular German layout) does not work.
Do you guys are still investigating, why the shortcut cannot be set in 1P?

  • Hi @ksntntnb:

Thanks for following up. We're still investigating and working to solve this, but I don't have anything to share just yet. Your best bet at this time would be to use an alternate shortcut, which I realize may not be ideal.
