1Password 8 will zip up the old app 1Password 7. It will be named 1Password 7.app.zip. Please drag it to the trash if you wish. It can be left in place too.
- Do not use an app cleaner they can get overly zealous and remove data. We do not want that to happen.0 -
Thank you!

ag_tommy,
1Password 8 successful. I'll trash the zipped 7 app. Thanks for letting me know now to use CleanMyMac for that.
I tried to install the browser extension for Brave 1.38.119 for MacOS and for Firefox 100.0.2 for MacOS and not having success yet. Are these 1Password extensions for Brave and Firefox only for Windows?
Thank you.0 -
The extensions should work for those browsers on macOS. Please open the links below from the respective browser.

@ag_tommy Thank you for that info! Would be ideal to have it flagged and explained within the v8 installation process, if possible?

The 1Password 8 "first run" experience prompts users to install 1Password in the browser:
Clicking the button opens the following page which has the same information that Tommy linked to in his comment: Get started with 1Password in your browser
Let me know if you meant somewhere else. 🙂

Thank you - and sorry! I meant the info about how to remove v7, in respect of the OP’s question. I should have been clearer. Sorry again 😊

Thank you for clarifying, I've filed a feature request on your behalf with the product team so that they can see if this is something that we can add to the 1Password 8 installation process in the future.
Currently, the 1Password 8 installer will place 1Password 7 into a ZIP folder in your Applications folder. 1Password 7 will be, at this point, defacto uninstalled. After that, there's no need to do anything else. The ZIP folder can be left where it is and it won't cause any issues.

Hi. I installed 1Password 8 over 7 and still have an entry under Login Items for 1Password 7.
How can I get rid of it?
