v8: 1P extension issues
Have just upgraded from v7 to v8. Upgrade went fine, but 1P mini extension in taskbar now doesn't work - Quick access brings up the QA dialogue ok, but only other options are "Open 1 Password", "Lock" or "Quit".
At a login page I cannot now just click on the extension icon and autofill from there. What's going on?
(I have tried deleting and reinstalling the extension) and also tried the terminal command suggested in an earlier post.
1Password Version: 8.7.0
Extension Version: 2.3.3
OS Version: 10.15.7

OK, I think I've solved it. Have give permissions for Safari to use the extension. Would have been easier to just carry over existing rules in upgrade.....

And in Preferences ticked the box to enable "Click the icon to Show quick access"

1Password for Safari is a new product and as such it would not use the same permission as the 1Password extension previously used.

Hmmm...this is going well
Just tried to log in to a website. Went to Mini taskbar icon, clicked icon, quick access dialogue opens with required sign on details (great). Click "autofill" and 1 Password crashes. Rinse and repeat.

Hi @statto1927:
Thanks for following up. We're currently tracking a issue much like the one you're reporting. While I don't know when we'll have it sorted out, we're actively investigating. In the meantime, using the 1Password pop-up from Safari's toolbar, or the in-line menu on a field to autofill would be your best bet.

@ag_tommy
Accepted, but that's the least of my worries currently. I can't get the extension to work at all. It's just crashing 1P every time I try and login to a website using it0 -
Ok, thanks for the update @Jack.P_1P
It's getting on for bedtime here in the UK , so I'll leave it for now and revisit when I get chance tomorrow.0 -
Actually, I can't autofill from anything - even the main app. I just have to copy and paste......

Hey @statto1927:
As I mentioned above, we're currently investigating an issue on macOS 10.15 where using Universal Autofill crashes 1Password. You can use 1Password in the browser and fill directly from the pop-up when in your browser using the screenshot earlier. Let me know if you're still having trouble filling in your browser, and I'll be able to dig in further with you!

@Jack.P_1P Was this ever resolved? I'm still on 10.15 and every time I use Quick Access 1Password crashes and I have to unlock it again. Any ideas?

The issue mentioned by Jack in this thread was resolved with version 8.7.1:
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause the app to crash when attempting to use Universal Autofill on macOS Catalina 10.15.
Please make sure that you're using the latest version of 1Password 8: How to keep 1Password up to date
If that doesn't resolve the issue then can you tell me if 1Password is crashing when you invoke Quick Access itself or when you try to fill a login into another Mac app using Universal Autofill?
