1PW 8 Spam maybe

Today I get an email that says click here for 1PW8 for Mac. Looks like it is from 1PW -- but I get my 1PW from the Mac App Store. The Mac App Store does not have 1PW 8.

Another thing that bothers me -- absolutely no instruction or description of what will happen. Often times users have to quit before an update - but sometimes not.

Is the attached email legit? If yes where are the directions on the upgrade process? Usually iOS devices get updates along with MacOS applications. Do they exist? Does it matter the updating sequence?

I have the family plan - we pay about $60 each December 21st. Is there a cost for the upgrade to 1PW8 or is that part of the subscription?

The system will not allow me to attach a PDF of the email I got, so I have attached a screenshot of the first part of the email. Happy to send it all if you tell me how.

    At a glance, the email in your screenshot looks like the email that our founder Dave recently sent to subscribers to his newsletter. I've removed the screenshot from your post since it contained your full name and I wasn't sure if you wanted that posted on a public forum.

    We're still working on 1Password 8 for iOS and we hope to release it in the future. You can continue to use 1Password 7 on your iOS devices at the same time as using 1Password 8 on your Mac. There won't be any issues.

    1Password 8 is included with your 1Password Families membership. There is no additional cost.
