[Quality of Life] Can One Cache SSH Key Approval for a Period of Time?

I use a JetBrains IDE w/ multiple git repos w/in single IDE instance making it ostensibly a workspace. When I use JetBrain's "Update Project" feature, it'll do a git pull on each of the repos I have in that project workspace. However, each repo will reprompt me for a TouchID confirmation to use the SSH key, which is cumbersome.

Is there a way to cache my approval for a period of time even if it's 5-15 seconds? I'm thinking something similar to what one might find when running sudo on a *nix machine, where the ability to promote one's privileges are cached for a period of time before reprompting for one's password.

Thanks!

  • Hey @openbl:

Great question! While I can't promise anything specifically, it's definitely something we're aware of. 🙂
