Quick Access UX needs fixing
The Quick Access workflow is broken for me. I'm a Touchpad user. The experience of searching and having to use key combinations to copy user name or password is foreign to me and doesn't feel natural. Even in Mac's Spotlight, I'm used to hitting a couple of keys and then using my Touchpad to select something.
If I use the mouse, QuickAccess launches the site in the browser. Not what I want. Instead of letting me work as a I like, you're forcing me into a weird set of key strokes.
I'm sure that with time I could get used to it. And that would be the only app on my computer that I use that way.
I reverted to version 7.

Hello @ak__
I'm sorry that you ran into some friction with Quick Access. I would love to learn more about your workflow so that we can improve Quick Access and 1Password 8 as a whole. Can you tell me a little more about what you were searching for in Quick Access and where things broke down? Were you searching for an item so that you could fill login information into the browser? Or to look up credit card information? Or something else?
Anything more that you can share will help me pass along your feedback and experience to our developers. I look forward to hearing from you. 😊

Hi, Dave.
Thanks for your reply. It feels that you think of 1Password as my bookmark manager. The default action of Quick Access is to open an item in my default browser. That's not what I need.
What I need is 1Password Mini. I can open it with a click, quickly search or generate a new password, use the panel on the right to work with an item.
I need that panel on the side that shows all details of a given item. Show me the details, let me decide what to do: copy something or edit. The version 8 Quick Access is missing that panel on the right.
If Quick Access is inspired by Spotlight, it missed the key feature - the right side panel.Hope this helps to explain a little more. In the mean time, I'm sticking with 1Password7.
