Do I need 3 versions to operate properly

I am new to. 1 password and literally just bought in without using the trial I was convinced. I have a question now I was going threw the initial setup followed the instructions and installed the global app 1password7. Then it directed me to install another what I thought was a component actually turned out to be another standalone app 1password. The it had me install another app to run inside of Safari. My question is that can I just run one of these on my machine globally or do I have to have the three versions running simultaneously?

    1Password 7 is the previous version.
    1Password aka 1Password 8 is the newest version. With 1Password 8 you will need to install 1Password for Safari.
