Security settings for the Firefox extension
The Firefox extensions (both v7 and v8) do not work when "Never remember history" and "Always use private browsing mode" are enabled. Is it a good idea for a program that is supposed to increase security to ask the user to roll back other security measures?

Hey @Chr1sS:
Great question. 1Password for Firefox needs the ability to write to the local database to store data. If Firefox is configured to always launch in Private Browsing mode, then 1Password doesn't have the ability to write to that local database.
If you'd like to use 1Password in Firefox as well as browse in Private Browsing mode, configuring Firefox to not open in Private Browsing mode automatically, then manually launching a Private Browsing window would be your best bet. You can configure 1Password to be allowed in Private Browsing mode in the extension settings page.

I can confirm that this works. However, you should figure out a way to overcome this limitation.

Hi @Chr1sS:
When "Always use private browsing mode" is enabled, this results in extensions being blocked from creating and writing to a local database. We're working with our friends at Mozilla to see if there's a better way to handle this, but for the time being, 1Password in Firefox needs "Always use private browsing mode" disabled in order to function.
