Corporate IT requirement for use of 1P on company laptop

Usage of 1P is approved as long as the password storage file is NOT stored in public cloud. The password storage file must be stored on local storage on on the internal AT&T One Drive environment..........

The above verbiage is a statement by my corporate IT folks at AT&T....I must agree to this statement in order to use 1P on my AT&T MacBook Pro.

I DO NOT understand where or how 1P stores my Vault, so I don't know if I can agree to this statement! Please HELP!

Note: I sent this question in an email directly to 1P Support, but got a generic response about how to install 1P. Useless.

    Hi jj2138,

It isn't possible to use 3rd party storage such as OneDrive to store 1Password data. 1Password syncs your data itself, using end-to-end encryption, and the encrypted data is stored on 1Password.com (in addition to being stored on each of your devices). You can read more about our storage and security model here:

    About the 1Password security model

Including an in-depth white paper, linked at the bottom of that article. You may want to check with your IT department to see if AT&T has a corporate account for 1Password that they want you to use. I hope that helps!
