Are you using a non US keyboard layout? I have the same problem with German keyboard layout. The problem was reported several times since the beginning of the early access phase and it‘s still not fixed.

Having the same problem unfortunately.
Italian keyboard. When in "Preferences > General" i try to change a shortcut trying to input " cmd " + " \ " key (that is left of the " 1 " key) the shortcut registered uses instead the "< >" key. screen recording 1
If i try the inverse, input a shortcut like " opt " + " < > " keys it register the shortcut as if it was " opt " + " \ ", what i want. screen recording 2
But when i try to use the shortcut in the browser it doesn't work. screen recording 30 -
Thank you for the answer Jack.
I downgraded to 1Password 7, my brain was so wired to that shortcut for many years that changing it wasn’t an option 😅
Thanks anyway.0 -
Any news about that bug ?
It's still here ... also on 1P 8.9.4 ...0 -
Hi @face, I don't have any updates to share at the moment but the issue is still being tracked. We'll do our best to post any future updates here, and if you're curious to see what's coming down the pipe, you can check out the 1Password for Mac Beta Releases.
I appreciate you following up!

Any news? =)

It is unacceptable for a bug to persist for so long. Hundreds of us have reported this problem and there is still no solution. Don't come to me with alternative solutions because I have tried everything. It should work exactly the same as before.

I wouldn't be salty on the matter =)
We still can use the old version, hopefully this (and many other things) will be fixed sooner or later.0 -
I don't have any news to share at the moment, when the issue is fixed you'll see it mentioned in our release notes: 1Password Releases
I'll also make a note to update this thread so that everyone is aware. Thank you again for your patience and I'm sorry for the frustration that the issue is causing.

New update, same problems. After 10 years I'm considering switching to another password manager, as 1P's priorities have changed. This is the price users pay when you stop developing native apps.

Same problem here, with an Italian layout keyboard on Mac.
Moreover, it seems an extended problem regarding non US keyboard layouts but, to my experience, related only to Mac version, as Windows works fine.
There are issues with some application custom shortcuts (seems like CMD+\ is read as CMD+`) and CMD+SHIFT+C doesn't copy password in quick access (it copies login instead).
Of you can work around the first, the second is becoming pretty annoying, both being there since first v8 release.0 -
EDIT: CMD+SHIFT+C works, since I had another app hijacking the same shortcut. Once modified in the other app, everything is fine. Sorry, that's my fault.
Issue with 1Password activation shortcuts is still there, tough.0 -
I'm sorry that you're also running into problems with keyboard shortcuts. I've passed along your report to our development team so that they're aware.

I use a ISO Layout French and i can't use this shortcut cmd + @ because 1Password use a wrong layout.
