Not recognizing password field

I'm a developer for an online banking application. It's a single page application. During step-up authentication inside the app, the browser extension isn't recognizing a password field.

We do use web components, but the element in question is not inside any shadow dom.


The main login form works just fine. However this element is nested in an HTML dialog element that is dynamically added to the DOM.

Any idea why this isn't being recognized?

OS Version: MacOS 12.4

    I thought maybe it was the autocomplete="off" on the form, but that had no affect.

    Great question! To figure out why exactly 1Password isn't detecting this page properly, the best step would be to collect some page details from this page. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser, then choose Help > Collect Page Structure. Attach the downloaded file to an email addressed to support+x@1password.com, and include a link to this thread, and your username: chadhikes.
