auto-fill troubleshooting for support.hashicorp.com

One site I'm using daily is https://support.hashicorp.com and it's annoying me that I have to manually fill in the login details. I'm on macOS 12.x current version of chrome and 1Password 8.7.1 along with the chrome extension being installed.

The chrome extension offers a matching account in its popup. When I select that nothing is filled into the fields. I can paste from the clipboard so I have been using the shortcut to fill fields. Seems like the fields are configured correctly but autofill just does nothing.

I have sent hashicorp feedback but If you can help me determine what is wrong that may help if they need to tweak their site.

Thanks,
Blake

Hey @trodemaster - Thanks for reaching out to us here. 🙂

I've done some testing with the site you shared and things looked to be working as expected for me. Could you try these steps to create a new manual login and see how it works for you?

    1. Go to the website's login page.
    2. Type in your email and password manually - don't click login.
    3. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
    4. Select 'Save Login' and save it as a New Item.
    5. Refresh the webpage.
    6. Click on the Email field and select the new login you just created.

Here is a video of my testing, if the reference is helpful -> https://share.cleanshot.com/qStLtf

If you are able to autofill successfully, you can go ahead and delete your old login item in 1Password.

Let me know how things go!

I didn’t try creating a new login. I’ll give that a go next week when I’m back in the office. Thanks!

  • Hi @trodemaster:

I just wanted to follow up and see if creating a new login worked for you. Let me know!

Hi, Yes I was able to create a new login and it now works. I suspect somthing changed on the login window breaking the previous one. Thanks for the solution!

  • On behalf of the team, you're welcome. Enjoy the weekend.
