[MAC] Item count asterisks... what do they mean?

I notice in the latest nightly release there are now two asterisk characters either side of the item count number at the bottom of the items lists.

What do they mean?

1Password Version: 8.8.0 (80800145)
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: macOS 10.15.7
