Why is the extension in Chrome asking for the Big Master Password, the application is not?

Greetings, When I added the 1password extension to my Chrome browser for work, it now requires my Big Master Password as opposed to the shorter vault password. The desktop application only asks for the shorter vault password. Previous installations of the extension only required that smaller password.

What can I do to get them to use the same, shorter password? My 1password setup at home, both the desktop application and the extension use the same, shorter password. What is more, if I unlock the desktop application, the browser extension is unlocked too, and vice versa. This connection is not present at work. Same OS version, browser version and, I thought, same 1password version.
