Newbie: windows workflow
So, I turn on my PC and login to my windows account - presume 1pswd can't be used at this stage? I don't have a camera or a finger print reader on my desktop PC. Then, as I'm not seeing a windows app, I presume I have to open my browser - chrome - and login to 1pswd with a password? that's 2 pswds before the protections starts, yes? Cheers

Hey @seanpk, thanks for reaching out to us! We certainly have a 1Password for Windows application which you can download from here:
I recommend checking out this guide on 1Password 8: Get to know 1Password for Windows
In regards to the workflow, 1Password does need to be unlocked after signing in to your Windows profile. This can be done either by opening your browser and signing in through 1Password extension or through the 1Password for Windows desktop application.
If you don't have the extension installed, here's a link to install 1Password in your browser: https://support.1password.com/getting-started-browser/
I also recommend checking out this guide: Save and fill passwords in your browser
You may also want to consider using Windows Hello to unlock 1Password on your Windows PC. This can reduce the number of times you'll be required to enter your account password.
I hope this information helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers Ali, wouldn't it be easier if there was a windows app that activated at start up (like the virus protection) and requested your 1pswd pswd immediately?

Good morning @seanpk, thanks for your reply.
Once installed, the 1Password 8 for Windows desktop app does automatically launch as a background process upon booting your device and is accessible from the system try. However, if you'd like the app to open on startup and be presented with the account password unlock screen, you can follow this Microsoft Support article for steps to add 1Password to your system Startup folder:
Add an app to run automatically at startup in Windows 10
I hope this helps, but please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

@ag_mike_d Thanks for that startup link! I had been wondering how to get that done. Happier now that 1P desktop app starts up automatically. :)
