Safari autofill popup loads site icons very slowly. Is it re-fetching every time?

When I use the Safari extension (all software both 1P and otherwise up to date as of 7/25/2022), the site favicons load several seconds after the rest of the popup (with user name). Why? These are sites I've visited dozens of times (my bank, for example). Is 1Password re-fetching favicons every single time it generates the popup? Why? Wouldn't it be better to cache the icon and load more quickly? Delay I'm discussing is 2-5 seconds (to load favicon only, after rest of popup has loaded).
