1Password 8 bug when quitting from App Switcher

I have the "Keep 1Password in the menu bar" option checked.

When the 1Password window is open and I hit CMD + Q, the 1Password window is closed but the application stays running in the menubar (as expected).

However, if I open the App Switcher (CMD + TAB), tab to the 1Password icon, then press CMD + Q, 1Password completely quits (the menubar icon disappears and 1Password locks).

I would expect the behaviour to be the same - 1Password should stay running in the menubar regardless of whether I quit from the application window or the App Switcher.

    Any updates on this bug? I use cmd-tab very heavily and I am constantly quitting 1password by mistake, breaking the browser extension as well as autofill in native apps.
