Firefox quit slowed by 1password extension

I just freshly installed Firefox on my M1 Pro macbook. Using command+q to quit results in instantaneous quitting of the app. However, once I installed the 1password Firefox extension (the 1password mac app had been installed from the beginning), quitting takes 4-5 seconds instead of quitting instantly. Safari does not replicate this issue, but Chrome does as far as I can tell. I'm not sure whether this is a browser limitation but I would really, really like for this to be addressed in some form because it's a dealbreaker for me trying to use browsers other than Safari.
