Continuous re-prompting for security key if initial prompt failed, even when switching to TOTP/ exit

When using a U2F security key as the second factor when logging in, the app will non-stop retry security key sign on even if the dialog or prompt is closed. I have been able to replicate this if the incorrect security key PIN is entered or if the security key is "not recognized"
