Unable to unzip Mrc Converter Suite [Solved]
I am in the beginning phases of trying to convert an eWallet text file to a CSV so I can import over 300 cards (and about 2500 lines in the text file) into 1Password (1PW) version 7 per instructions from 1PW support. I downloaded the zip file (version 2022.-06-16-1410) from dropbox and have had 6 different unzip apps tell me that the format is unrecognized. Am I missing something here is this particular zip file missing something like some checksums or similar??
What unzipping app would you recommend?
I have an iMac with M1 processor and am running macOS 12.5.
Some help would definitely be very much appreciated.
Thank you
Simon

Hello @toxdoc
I wonder if your download got corrupted. I just did a fresh download of the zip, double-clicked it in macOS, and it is fine (macOS has a built-in zip / archive extractor, so nothing special is needed). My test was also on an M1 Macbook Pro, btw.
Please re-try the download after clearing your browser cache. You can check that the checksum matches. Place the zip file on your Desktop, and run the command line in the Terminal app:
$ md5 ~/Desktop/mrc-converter-suite-2022-06-16-1410.zip MD5 (/Users/cappella/Desktop/mrc-converter-suite-2022-06-16-1410.zip) = 9ae74a898e50890f21fc3e89028e3256
If your download was not corrupted, you'll see the same hex-string that I show, which is:
9ae74a898e50890f21fc3e89028e3256
The _checksums folder at the same place you downloaded the converter contains checksum files for the latest .zip archive.

Sorry - I have now been so wrapped up with editing my data that I forgot to mention that I opened the zip in Safari somehow and then download all the files I needed. I was able to convert my Ewallet text file, upload per instructions to version 7 and I am now trying to learn how the app works as I edited all my cards and consolidate about 45 duplicates that were created. Then I can update to version 8, start a subscription and load the apps onto my iPhone and iPad.
Thank you for putting me on the right track and also for checking back in to ensure that I was successful.
I think we can close this thread now
