Unlocking 1Password via keyboard
In the previous version of 1Password (i.e. 7) typing in the auto-fill hotkey would either auto-fill or prompt to unlock 1Password if it was already locked. In the my current version of 1Password, I need to mouse up to unlock 1Password manually. I found that if I have 1Password in my menubar then this behavior works as expected. But I don't want 1Password in my menu bar; it clutters it up and I consider it a kind of a security issue because it lets people know at a glance that I am running 1Password and I would like to not have that be the case.
Is there a way to change this behavior (i.e. I would like to NOT have 1Password be in my menu bar and I would like keyboard shortcuts to work).

+1 for this! You now have to click the field to enter the password.
Using electron over a native app for this kind of app is a bad choice!

Hi @sosomario:
As it currently stands, allowing 1Password to run in the background so it can respond to your shortcuts immediately when it's locked or closed requires it to be allowed in the menu bar. We're still discussing this internally, but for the time being, keeping 1Password in your menu bar would be your best option.

Thanks for the reply. In general, the update to 1Password 8.8 "looks" nicer, but there are a lot of things that don't work that used to. 😢
