Unable to login in 1Password for iOS 7/8 after changing password; password does work on website...

I'm trying to help elder family members with upgrading to 1Password 8. Since this new version suffers from the terrible design decision to require the account password every 2 weeks, I have to make these passwords weaker than they were. However, after changing the account password we can no longer log in into their accounts on iOS and iPadOS, both in 1Password 7 and 1Password 8! The new password does work on my.1password.com though...

These family members will leave the country and tomorrow is the last day I can help them...

Terrible bug and no timely support!

    This is insane: after making the passwords even weaker (as weak as allowed by 1Password) I could finally sign in on iOS/iPadOS and then change the password to the desired one. After that I first had to unlock using the old password (...) and then the new password as well. After that the desired (new) password seems to work. For now...

    I have lost a lot of trust in 1Password today...
